About Power A Smile
This year, you can help Duracell support kids in need.
Most of us take for granted that Christmas is a time of families, happiness and love. The presents are bought and wrapped, the food shopping done and the plans to visit friends and family are locked.
But for thousands of Australian kids, poverty, abuse and neglect is all they will know this December. While most of us enjoy a happy, loving time at Christmas, thousands of kids will be experiencing nothing but heartache and loss. At Duracell, we believe we can help change that.
This is why we have developed the Duracell Power A Smile programme. In partnership with Barnardos, Power A Smile will help ensure funding for a variety of ongoing efforts to make a real and permanent improvement in the lives of the children most in need in our society. Together, Duracell and Barnardos can help them smile again.
This Christmas, you can help Duracell and Barnardos to power the smiles of 8000 kids in need. We’ve already made an upfront donation of $20,000. Now, when you make a donation to Barnardos through Power A Smile Duracell will match your generosity Dollar for Dollar*.
*Valid from Oct 1 – Dec 31, 2009. Duracell will donate up to a maximum of $100,000. The children who have appeared in this website are models and are being used for illustrative purposes only. Names have been changed to protect identities.
